Taylor and Adele may have sold more than Katy but I think Katy had more impact in Pop culture. The Teenage Dream era that carefully integrated social media into music; the high-quality music videos; the shifting of Pop music from EDM to carefree Pop music, etc.
I don't get why Rihanna is ignored. As far as I know she's more influential than Beyonce. Beyonce probably has more acclaim but she has no impact. I don't get how she changed the landscape of music. Bruno Mars should be on that list instead of the obligatory black rapper (Drake for instance). Kendrick Lamar should be enough.

Idk why people are saying Adele. She has the biggest album of the decade, yeah, but honestly she hasn't dominated enough throughout these 5 years of the 2010's to sort of define a decade. In all honesty, had Adele released another album then yeah, I would say that but not really.
To me, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Drake, and Kesha are a more accurate representation. I named those in no specific order of importance.

hold on,,,,,,,,,,,,, surprise releases (U2, Drake, Kendrick, Azealia Banks, etc..) + release dates are gonna be changed to FRIDAY starting this summer thanks to Beyoncé (they clearly mentionned it).
plus, don't act like Feminism isn't subject of discussion in the game because of her.
plus, her pregancy got major coverage. she was most tweeted event two times SUPERBOWL (musical event until Miley twerking @ vma) & VMA 2011 (ever, bigger than Ben Laden death ).
keeping R&B revelant at this point is genuis. like really!

I actually agree with Adele. She was like the sole champion for adult contemporary music that she paved the way (after Amy) for artists like her to be in mainstream music. She somewhat defied the odds.

They may be speaking the truth though. Outside of atrl, I don't know anybody who can specifically define or cite a Rihanna "era". It feels like it's all one long train of singles. She's successful but she's just there.

Taylor is touring stadiums is Europe, Asia, US, Australia this era. Wtf are you on?
Also lets not act brand new here- she does relatively bad in Europe with singles because of her streaming boycott. Her Itunes receipts are very good there. In fact Asia and Europe are her strongest markets if we go by Kworb WW points receipts.

Swap Nicki & Drake's position.
Add Rihanna to the list.
Idk who Arcade Fire is, so i'm not gonna comment on them.
Other than that, i kind of agree with this list.
