No, Home did and that was completely out of her control. The movie was originally supposed to be released in November. There was nothing she could do about it getting delayed. She was obviously signed as the main character in the movie and already had the music deal. Since it's a children's film, she probably has it contracted that she must play it safe with her image and music until the film is released to not cause the film any bad press.

I'm just grateful she didn't push back any plans for R8 and refused to allow that to get delayed in order to be released months after the film. We'll probably get the ****ty ratchet club anthem of ours dreams come April or May.

Why? cause I don't think there was any hype to begin with. It's funny how her fanbase was always always saying that her music didn't blow up right after the release like it happens with Katy or Gaga because she realeased music constanly, but now she took a long break and still, no hype for her.

I think 45S is a really good song and I enjoyed hearing her try a new style of music. I don't know what's up with Home, but if the movie is successful and the music is good, it could be a really good endeavor for her.

She didn't necessarily kill the hype for R8 because let's be real we're all gonna freak when it finally comes out but she did kill its potential. It would have probably had a better outlook with a better song than 45S.

Not initially. It didn't get there until after the Grammys. It took the general public to see her on stage with TWO legends to even get into the song. And even when it finally got to number one on iTunes, it was only there for like 4-5 seconds until Ed Sheeran PUNCHED her back down the chart

BEYONCE sold about 300 to 400k more than PRISM. And she did it with less promo, no payola and #2 peaking lead single. Which is way more impressive.

I thought atrl said huge smash singles were supposed to help sell your album, apparently that's not the case with Katy and Rih. Only Taylor, Adele and Pink are pushing huge album sells and huge single sells.

Performing old songs, nothing off the new album is considered promo only when it comes to Bey. I wonder if Katy's SB performance is considered promo for ha next album, nevermind that only applies to Bey.

Kinda yeah basically everything in the OP yes.

FourFiveSeconds has had a shockingly similar chart trajectory to Applause, too; including a #4 peak. The only thing is Rihanna had TWO other featured artists who are very successful in their own right, whereas Gaga's was a solo song. So I'd say that the era is off to a very poor start. HOME isn't helping anything.
