If my comment's mentioning of a very real and serious issue bothers you, and you want to pretend like it doesn't exist or shouldn't be mentioned because this is a music forum, then disregard it. But the point still remains that racism still exists whether or not there are some examples of it not being a factor.

I was so happy when I discovered that Beck won. Not because I care for Grammys, not at all, I think they are worthless and corrupted. But because he finally is acknowledged for his incredible and unique contribution to music.
But now, after all this BS he is being dragged into, I wish he didnt win tbh. Not because I think he doesnt deserve it, I genuinely do think his album was the best out of the ones nominated, but because of all the attacks aimed at him. I know how he is, that he will most likely just shrug it off and continue to do his own thing as always. He is incredibly talented, not afraid to experiment and provoke and is just genuinely nice, weirdly adorable and humble person whom are some pressed people trying to turn into an example of racism. And that just breaks my heart

This argument is so tired  Just because a fan-made picture has gone semi viral comparing the writers/producers on two albums, doesn't make it the argument ending, final decision on what deserves AOTY. Have a mind of your own 
Not to mention some of Beck's writing and lyrics on the album are a joke. Some of the songs are literally 4-5 sentences of lyrics and the rest just an instrumental.
Like I keep saying, I respect the voters decision (despite what my opinion on who the winner should have been) and understand it is not Beck's fault, but the transparent and redundant Beck stanning on this website since he won, and the amount of people who claimed to have listened to his album in full and think it deserved AOTY (yet barely, if ever, mentioned it before) is just

ALL of this. I don't care that dude won. Congrats to him, but people need to stop acting like people can't disapprove of the win when they sit on the forum constantly and disapproved of ALL of the Grammy's Bey has won. Lest we pull up the threads asking should she have won them.

Funny that you tried to portray Beck as a lazy songwriter. But music isn't supposed to be only about lyrics. The whole package of that song (lyrics + melody + production) is actually good.

THIS and I'm black. I'm sick of hearing the "racisme" excuse. In the past, IMO, Beyonce won Grammys that I really don't htink she deserved but you didn't hear people crying about that and poor Beck who has been doing music for years gets treated like scum because someone's precious, anointed one wasn't deemed supreme. I'm so over it. If the Navy ever acted like this, I'd talk trash about them too eventhough I am a part of them. 
I hope the "Kanye Effect" skyrockets Beck to Taylor status just like before.

The difference is despite the fact some people may not have agreed with some of Beyonce's Grammys, a major uproar or witchhunt wasn't stirred against her because of those wins. People accepted it and went on like every other day whether they like it or not.

The fact that they're fuming over Beck and not Pharrell who REALLY did not deserve the Best Urban Contemporary Album over Beyonce. Where are the articles on that? Where is the outrage over that?
