It's a great album and in terms of release, a game changer.
However it lacked any timeless singles and lyrically was far too sexual to have the wide appeal it would need to be a 'female Thriller' or whatever her fans want to label it.

It sold very well from Dec. to April. Then there was no single out and sales slipped (PH was never sent to radio) Flawless was released and sales returned and have been steady for an album already out for several months. PE just gave the album a little push. It was at 2.1M before it was even released

The album and it's music are not praised, stop being delusional. However, the surprise release marketing will be praised for a long time, it was a boss move by her management.
Oh and Beyhive attacking Trent for speaking the truth, nothing new here.

It's the best R&B album of 2013, since then no other album in its genre has come close, it's a masterpiece and the critics agree. The Platinum edition "More" EP, however, is trash and an insult to the original, and I have no problem in dissing it, even Britney Jean ***** all over that thing.

people who think the release had so much to do with critical acclaim is PRESSED and delusional. 
It's a damn good album and that's why it was, and will continue to be praised

I always praise her for her quality and that's why I have her back in my sig, the success is another topic that I always like to bring down to the ground because is always over-inflated here and other members are always discrediting other artists thanks to this inflated stats, is not fair.

So you're just gonna make **** up? The album and music definitely ARE praised. It has an 86 on metacritic, made countless end-of-year lists, and had MULTIPLE songs on the end-of-year lists.
They praised the MUSIC. You're so transparent.

Anyway, the album is still getting praised because it's a great album that really stands out for not only it's incredible release strategy, but for it's amazing videos and exceptional musical quality. And despite the lack of hit singles, it's sold more units then album with hit singles. And that is a fact.
