The most worrying thing here is that there hasn't been any kind of resolution by now. The world is already watching, whoever is responsible could have made their move....
Unless this is just a distraction for the next attack.
Is there rolling coverage of this in other countries too? Obviously it's on every station (and has been for the past 12 hours) in Sydney because, well, it's happening here. But are international stations doing the same?
Then again, cable is really common in America, so so is the 24 hour news cycle (MSNBC, CNN, Fox News etc) but do they have rolling coverage as well? I'm assuming not. I would think it would be the lead story everywhere else, but that other news is still getting reported. In Sydney it's just this, non-stop. The reporters are constantly running out of things to say/they're speaking so slowly.
I saw this thread this morning before I was running for work. It's almost 7 pm here now, the fact that this has been going on for so long is really really unsettling.

Yes, it was the lead story on BBC news this morning and LBC radio (London's biggest talk station) - the BBC keep returning to Sydney for updates.
