What you say seems great, but no one sells album without promotion. That theory you stated has been proved wrong several times. She put a documentary during Britney Jean's promotional campaign and you would probably say it was in order to promote the residency, but that residency was supposed to start around the same time as the album was dropped out. A couple of interviews? She did that too and it didn't work either. She needs to build hype, make people excited about her releasing music. She will also need to start singing live, prove people she can still sing, dancing is not that important, but she needs to show the public she still loves and care for what she does.
I've always gotten this crazy theory about Britney wanting to do stuff pretty different since Circus. She's always wanted to take routes and she's always been blocked by her label. I need the Brit who didn't care about her label back, the one who went to the radio and premiered Mona Lisa without her label's approval. We need her to take risks, to be her again.

You might be right.
The documentary actually boosted sales but was done 3 weeks after her release.
Yeah she needs to use the interviews based off of the success of residency and the new album and incorporated that to make an even better show...its better than asking about the album and residency as was the case in 2013.
I hope the other song is a hit to build hype and I agree people need to know that she's back.
I really want her to sing live too. It's a shame she doesn't even use prerecorded vocals for Everytime and Lucky. That always disturbed me.
Unfortunately I don't think she will take risks at this point but I would love that.
for me, I just need what i stated earlier commercially but overall at least one iconic moment per era.
She eeked by last era with work btch
