its ok to listen to it on youtube but like once you make it into a file that you can put on a cd or upload to the internet or something its copy right infringement because you are aillegally making a copy of it and ilegally distributing it
i illegally download EVERYTHING except for Madonna albums which i pay for. i rather support an artist out on tour. like i am with lady gaga CDS are lame and get scratced and or lost. 320 kpbs mp3s are everything
The artists i like the most i but their CDs, the rest i download it xDD

Last.fm is okay but still very limited. Once you "discover" an artist you need to listen to an album to decide whether you are a fan. You shouldn't have to buy it to do this.
Downloading is great. It helps all the artists who need exposure. It hurts all the artists who are already overexposed and don't need more money.
