Britney was breaking records when she was 17. What was Taylor doing at 17? I'm going to guess NOT releasing one of the most successful singles of all time, having a single reach number one in every country that it charted in, and completely changing the landscape of pop music. I'm sure her Grammys look nice above her fire place though.

Taylor Swift has sold 32 million albums and 100 million singles. When we account for TEAs and the change in the album market, that's about equal to 42M albums.

Britney's first two albums shifted well over 45M copies in pure album sales.

The difference is that Taykor was aiming for her songs to smash on pop sending them to pop radio, remixes, etc.

Did what? Nearly all of Brit's records are broken or made up, Brit was barely relevant with Blackout, Brit only holds 1 lowbrow Grammy to her name (will never win a top 4 Grammy), and Brit lost her only strength (album sales) with the Britney album.
