This. At the moment all I see is Nick taking his clothes off and posing in gay mags using sex to sell. That's fine if that's what he wants to do. But if he's really supportive of the gay community, I'd like to see him campaigning publicly for equality, donating to charities, etc. He's gonna have to do a lot more if he wants his pandering to seem genuine.

If the consumer is buying music based on that then it says more about them than him.
Besides, at the end of the day if the music is trash no one will buy.
Luckily he makes good music.

Pandering happens to every single audience. Saying the gay audience should be immune to it in fact contradicts the definition of equality. If he was fighting against pandering to ANY audience he'd have a point I'd agree with.

And you would argue women don't do it? Really? Would you really say that Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, etc. don't pander to straight male audiences?

Although I'd argue Ariana panders to whole different type of male audience
