The case had merit or it wouldn't have cost gaga 1.4m dollars

Forgive me, a case that she lost.
Not necessarily. Court dates can easily extend over several years, and legal fees over several years rack up quickly.
Again, though, I'm not wishing bankruptcy on her, but she should pay for the monetary damage she caused the other party. This is commonplace in US civil law, and she likely knew that before she filed against Gaga.

I actually found it because (i know this may shock you) listen to more than one person and follow Rebecca.
Honestly, you do too much. I mostly agree with gaga on this and you come on here and personally insult me for sharing something that fans of gaga would be interested in knowing. You're the only person in here that has directed negativity. Honestly, grow up.

I mean, the connections she listed are interesting, and it seems possibly probable that Gaga got an idea from the files sent to her. But I don't see any plagiarizing because the songs really don't sound anything alike. The only similarity in this whole thing is the word "juda", that's it. The melodies, structure, everything else is completely different. And it really could be a coincidence, because so many of Gaga's songs have vocal hooks like that
"pa pa pa poker face"
"papa paparazzi"
"Ra ra ah ah ah roma roma ma gaga ooh la la"
"ale alejandro ale alejandro"
"he a-a-ate my heart" "ma ma ma monster"
"kinda busy, k-kinda busy" "stop telephoning me eh eh eh eh"
Also, the cheap shots she was taking at both Gaga and the judge really make it hard to take her seriously.

My exact ****ing thoughts. He needs to be under very heavy SSRIs, medicated and locked away in solitary confinement forever.

The songs are nothing alike and the story back isn't credible at all, starting for the producer she mentions, that didn't even participate on Judas' creation.
She doesn't know anything about Gaga if she thinks she feeds on other people's works. Gaga has been on the business for a long time as a songwriter for other artists, so she really knows what it is being part of "the first class". Besides, dragging her, the corporations and even DJs isn't smart at all, she just seems pressed.
I'm with her with the last part, but if she really had a point on her fight against "the system" (somehow represented on Gaga), she would have won. But she didn't 'cuz her accusations were fake and now she needs to pay for the time, money and negative image that this caused on Gaga and her legal team.

"You see, unlike real songwriters, Lady Gaga is, like her getups, fake. She has other people write for her, then takes the credit. It happens a lot in Hollywood today."

You can manipulate some of the kids here, but not me. Embrace your inner pawsdown troll and spare me your "unbiased" act. It's insulting. You'll be a much more entertaining poster.

I don't see how anyone could think the songs are similar at all. While the word "Juda" is pretty uncommon, it's pretty clear that Gaga was trying to recreate Bad Romance with Judas. It's not hard to see how she came up with the "Juda" hook when you consider Bad Romance's "Rah Rah" hook.

I thought this was about Rebecca Black. My initial thought makes more sense.

I think everyone knows the tea when it comes to that poster, which just choose to float over that flaw, and serve civil conversation.

Entertaining like, saying you wish I had a hot iron to my face. Which is what you have previously said about
Me.
Anyways, Nicole there's no denying that I'm biased. I don't like gaga as a person however in this case, I didn't post my opinion at all, in this case I passed on something that someone else had said and left others to discuss it.
So spare me the ever so predictable diatribe that you vomit and stick to what Rebecca said rather than your insulting comments about me. In the mixture of your regular diatribe I've seen you offer some well throught out opinions so I know you have the ability to do it.

They have to ruin her life when ultimately she had no impact on Gaga except this puny million she had to pay in legal fees.

While, yes, Gaga is wealthy, she should not be obliged to pay for a lawsuit against her that was disproven. All that does is provide incentive for other people to make frivolous lawsuits without fear of expense except in the form of their own legal fees. I'm sure part of the reason behind counter-suing is just to make sure no others do so without a strong enough case to win.
And, assuming Rebecca F. declares bankruptcy, which is the most likely scenario, she will ultimately contribute little to the 1.4 million dollars set upon her. It isn't as though she's going to have to slave away for the rest of her life to pay off 1.4 million dollars.

Why did you capitalize "Me"?
-
Anyway, I hope Gaga gets her money back from this person; at least in part. How would any of you guys feel if some poor person just came up to you and took 300 bucks from you and then you got judged for daring to ask for it back? I'd take my cash back even if it was 5 bucks. This Rebecca person brought this on herself and there's no creepy, sneaky logic that can ooze out any other answer.

When someone sues someone else, if the case is not strong enough it's thrown out immediately. That is when one party should be responsible for the other parties legal costs. In that initial "hearing" to decide if the case should go forward. In this case, the judge agreed that Rebecca had sufficient evidence to proceed and he/she agrees to hear that evidence over the course of more than a year.
I agree that in this initial instance if the case Wasnt strong enough gaga's legal fees should be paid (they wouldnt be 1.4m) however if the judge agreed that he/she would hear the case, go over the evidence and preside over it for more than a year based under the legal parameters set - I don't see why she should have to pay gagas fees. At the end of the day, the judge felt Rebecca's case had merit and he made the decision to proceed.
