If anything she noticed the positive response from his surprising fans and went forward with that idea in a much bigger and better way. You are right about assumptions we'll never know, but Beyonce has a very bad reputation about that, not gonna specify cause I don't want WP's, so when this accusations come for her it sometimes connect well. Anyway the album is a masterpiece and the surprise release wasn't the only huge thing about it.

That's the point though. Bowie's album wasn't a surprise release. The single was released 2 months before the album, and the album was announced at the same time. You seem confused as to what Bowie's album release actually was. It wasn't a surprise because no one knew what the date was, but was anticipating an album, like Bey. It was a surprise because everyone thought he was retired and he hadn't released an album in 10 years.

Well, it was released on a Friday... it sold 66K for 3 weeks straight in the UK for example... that's incredible regardless of the chart position...

Accusations only connect well because you let your mind believe it to be true without any factual basis.

Anyway no one is accusing Beyoncé of copying Bowie, and if they are they are not thinking it through because to copy someone you must replicate what they did, not have one small similarity.
