Ya but what did she steal from Bowie? She had already released singles before albums. Deja Vu was released about 2 months prior to B'Day just like Bowie.
If anything she noticed the positive response from his surprising fans and went forward with that idea in a much bigger and better way. But was he the first artist to ever drop a song without a formal announcement? No. We can't even say that this is her inspiration. It's just as likely she read about the Trojan Horse, or attended a friend's surprise party, or saw what Kanye and Jay were doing with giving minimal notice about their albums. Assumptions just don't work if you're trying to state facts.
