Playing the Burb family. They had twins and their motives are all messed up so they never want to take care of them
I took John to a community lot to get most of his motives fixed. He has full motives aside from hunger and energy. I'll try to do this with Jennifer and Lucy (now a teen) as well.
Whenever I do get the game (which would be much later, because I am very disappointed in what I'm seeing) I am going to mod the absolute **** out of it. The first thing I hope to see is a mod that prevents those overpowered smartphones from being given to every Sim.
Also for the writing and painting jobs, do Sims really have to disappear off the lot for those? I can't have an author who writes books/paints from his/her home?
The smartphone doesn't bother me that much, it's the same as The Sims 3 with them not needing a house phones tbh.
& why don't you just torrrent it and if you like it, buy it? That's sorta what I'm doing. I'm torrrenting the game for Windows and waiting for it to come out on Mac.
& you should still be able to sell your artworks at home, and write novels on the computer etc and sell them. But it won't count as a career.
Omg, I swear everytime I go in this thread, Sims 3 Forum, Sims related anything, all people stay doing is COMPLAINING.
Like I know EA is **** about some things; but y'all have been complaining about Sims going downhill ever since Sims 3 came out. Cut them some damn slack already.
Ever since Sims 3 came out everything was a complaint, called a downsize from TS2, and was 'too much, too glitchy, etc'.
They tried to change that by taking out stuff with The Sims 4 and y'all just cry about every single thing that's removed. Like are y'all really crying over a trash compactor being removed?
If I was EA I would've been discontinued this ****. Y'all are always complaining and never praising, and they already rich off the franchise.
Apparently, we are also getting a third neighbourhood, if screenshots prove correct. But it might be like Riverview, where it's DLC.
I see a lot of people are stressing that Willow Creek and Oasis Springs are only 25 lots each, whereas most Sims 3 neighbourhoods are 50 - 100 lots each. But I think people are forgetting that The Sims 3 only let you visit one neighbourhood at a time, and if you wanted a new one, you had to make a new game.
With The Sims 4, I could travel to Oasis Springs for the day and be back to my Willow Creek house in time for dinner. We are no longer trapped in one neighbourhood. All of the neighbourhoods are now combined to make one huge world.

I actually find the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse graphics quite charming.
