Has anyone seen the official forums right now? A damn mess
Sure the games far from perfect, but it's not as bad as they're making it out to be.

Yeah, I agree. This game has so much potential and once we get a few of the missing features like toddlers and pools I'll be 100% content. I'm kinda worried it will flop though and EA won't let them make as many EPs
So they have houses with basically pools in them, but your Sim can't swim This to me, says they originally had planned to have pools in the game. I mean, I know fountains in the Sims 3 kinda look like that, but this was obviously supposed to be a pool.

Sims forums are a mess, because those people LIVE through the Sims. They were a mess when The Sims 3 came out, and I remember the annoying arguments when Late Night came out with no Sims in the clubs.
Some of them were talking about selling their PC because it wasn't worth it anymore etc. I mean it was **** they had no Sims in da clubs, but selling your laptop because of it?
and The Sims 3 sold half of what the Sims 2 did, and we got heaps more Stuff Packs, Expansion Packs and heaps of store content. The Sims 2 sold like 25 million, and The Sims 3 only shipped 10 million (which means it sold less).
Then again, Piracy is up. With the Sims 4 having DRM, the average player won't be able to play, only people who know what they are doing will. So who knows.

The house toward the end I mean.
That's the fountain tool I believe. People found code for pools and swimwear in the game though, which does suggest they exist, at least partially. Just disabled for now.

The only forum I really used was The Sims 2 one back in 2007/2008. There wasn't really any messy Sim players on there back then. Probably the only messy one was me (no surprise if you know me on here) but I was messier since I was 13/14.
That's actually where I got my screenname: MusicLoverDude. (that's what I used there).
He did, however praise the combination of the Sims 2 world and The Sims 3 world saying it's better than both
The emotions I knew would be crap, however, the Sim did talk to the child once he got over his initial hate of children. But why you would choose the hate children trait when you live with a child is dumb
He praised the hell out of build mode
I agree the smartphone kind of ruins the point of needing a computer, but by the same token, the Sims 3 ruined the need to own a house phone. And you didn't need to by a mobile there.
And he praised the graphics
& yeah I would prefer Pools than depressive walks.
I don't get why he complained about the emotions. He gave a "hates children" trait to his sim, then he was mad his sim hated children
So I added yet another mod to my Sims 2, the Macrotastics mod. I have so many it's become an obsession, the game literally runs exactly how I want it with everything in my control now. I don't use custom CC make-up or eyes though, just hair. So my sims don't look like those gross messy 2007-esque sims that are all over YouTube. But yeah this mod is so fun watching the sims run on autopilot and actually do smart things without me having to control them, it's a lifesaver for 10+ sim families.
I've been doing this "prosperity challenge" since late 2012 (with huge breaks in between, I'm not that obsessed) and my town is so big and populated now. My gay couple celebrated their first Christmas thanks to the holiday pack and their alien baby became a child and already has level 6 charisma. I should take some pics
Amazing how I've been playing this damn game since 2006 and I can still play it for like 10 hours straight on a day.
Whenever I do get the game (which would be much later, because I am very disappointed in what I'm seeing) I am going to mod the absolute **** out of it. The first thing I hope to see is a mod that prevents those overpowered smartphones from being given to every Sim.
Also for the writing and painting jobs, do Sims really have to disappear off the lot for those? I can't have an author who writes books/paints from his/her home?

Mess, it's just like when in TS2 came out, modders found out we originally were supposed to have rain & lightning when searching through the source files
