I'm from a third-world country, of course I think it's OK not to tip
But this "tip" thing is becoming very popular since 10 years ago here in Argentina, and I feel uncomfortable when I do not leave tips. But I'm a student, my parents gives me everything so I can study in a different city, living by myself, etc., I can't afford to tip when once in a while I go out, it's not like it's my money. And for leaving minimal tips, I prefer not giving anything.

I always tip, but if the server is rude at any point I don't.
The food can be the worst but I'd still tip, it always depends on the waiter.

yes, 15-20%, 15% being if the waiter was borderline terrible.
Waiters only get paid $2, i cant at some ignorant (american) people in here saying that's what they get paid to do. Next time you tip $0, imagine living off $2 an hour.
if they started paying waiters minimum wage, food prices would go up, it's just easier to move the weight to the customers.
If you can't tip, don't go out.
sorry, but that's the harsh reality.

In fact those should be included in their wage and if they don't like the low salary they might aswell look for another job.

Basically.

If the server is bad then no if the food is bad but the server is good I will still tip. It's not the server's fault the food was bad.

But that's just the US though, over here waiters get paid quite well, there's always a minimum wage in place and over here waiters make $11.56 an hour + if you tip, it's divided among all personnel, so everyone in the kitchen + the boss etc as well, at least in the restaurant I worked in. In The Netherlands service is already included in the price most of the time, proven by the fact that it's about 15 to 20% cheaper to get take out from a place than eat there. So yes, I still do tip, but only if the quality of the food and the service were great, and then I give a max of 10% extra, cuz anything more is considered rude in our culture. You'd be giving them a signal that they are cheap and you think you're better than them.

I'm shocked at the amount of people who voted no on this.
I ALWAYS tip unless the service is atrocious.

I never do that, it's not really a thing in The Netherlands. We get paid enough
And above that, Cola is not worth $2.00. In supermarkets I can get it for $0.50 or even cheaper. In the price they obviously included service, comfort etc. So they're getting paid enough, imo.

If the service is good, you get a tip. If you are a rude bitch then no (although this has only happened once ever for me).
If you can't afford to tip no matter what kind of service though, you really shouldn't be going out to eat.
Obviously I'm from the US, no one cares about these other 3rd world countries you keep mentioning
