It's not just rude but trashy as hell. I've told multiple people off for not tipping in the past. Keep your white trash ass home if you can't afford a tip. I've never been a waiter and I hope I never end up as one so I get really pissed off at people who treat those employees like **** when they're doing the jobs I'd never want to do.
Sis, a waiter makes less money than a worker at McDonald's and does a lot more. Without tips a waiter would be making like $10,000 a year.

No I don't. However I do think it's rude restaurants don't equate the cost of their staff into their business model and pay their workers a fair, standardized wage. America... Why the "tip" can't just be put into the price of a meal, and the equivalent paid as standard to the staff.

Then why is American service so bad compared to New Zealand and Japan? (aka. other countries I've been to / lived in that have had far better service and no tipping system)

I tip, hell all they need to do is just smile and be nice and I'll give them money. Really Im not that hard, and I still havent find bad server tbh

Nope, I tip depending on the service. If you suck, no tip for you. But if you are excellent, I may tip you the exact bill amount. (I tipped one person $43 on a $43 bill because they were good and well attentive to all the people there. He deserved it.)

Depends on the country. In the US, one of the main reasons waiters hate serving foreigners is that they generally don't tip well because, in their countries, tipping isn't customary.

In the US, they only usually pay waiters about $2 per hour and the rest is expected to be made in tips. In other countries, waiters generally make a decent hourly safe, so tipping isn't usually necessary.

I tip 18% usually if the service is good. If not I do about 10% to 15%.

But I always tip though.

It kinda of is incorporated though. If you don't make the standard amount with your tips for that hour, the business has to pay you. (For example, your third year of being a waiter in Tennessee, you are supposed to make 9.25 an hour if you don't make that, then you get brought up.)

Also, why do yall think Mcdonald's workers don't get tips. People at my old Mcdonalds get tipped all the time.

They don't live on $2 an hour. If they don't make a minimum in an hour, they are brought up to minimum wage. On busy nights, waiters can make up to $500, something other minimum wage jobs do not make. No waiter actually makes $2 an hour.
