Yeah, the article doesn't seem like it's generalizing at all. More as it's against the two that gay men latch onto.

See, that's kind of wrong. I see that movie cited for phrases that black women have been saying for a long time. Old church ladies have been saying certain phrases for ages, not because they watched Paris Is Burning.
