Honestly, considering they're from the same time, if a girl is influenced by one, she's influenced by both. Even someone like Adele who worships the ground Beyonce walks on has still said that when she was started out (before she discovered Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald) she just used to bop to pop, including Britney Spears. Even Adele would sung 'Baby One More Time' or 'Everytime' at some point in her life. If only because she was cleaning her room and it was on her CD player.
If a girl is young enough to be influenced by Beyonce, then she would have been influenced by Britney Spears too. For some girls, like Rihanna, Beyonce would have been a bigger influencer. For others, like Miley, Britney would have been a bigger influencer. But that doesn't change the fact that Britney still influenced Rihanna and Beyonce still influenced Miley. It's not like they can only be influenced by one and not the other/both
