Tbh, Katy belongs on neither list. Her influences are all people like Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morrisette and Joni Mitchell. She idolises Beyoncé but there's absolutely 0 influence present in the music and her opinion of Britney is nothing more than general polite PR praise.
If she *has* to be on a list, it'd be Britneys as Toxic is the reason Katy worked with Bloodshy for 'Love Me'.

I think Beyonce's influence may be by her performing..I don't see "Beyonce" in many artists..and that could be a good thing.
Britney's influence comes from her music..any girl(besides Xtina ) that debuted after her, was immediately compared to her..that says something..I can see Britney in Miley..
I think people need to differentiate admiration from influence. A lot of artists that the beyhive claims were ifluenced by bey only profess their love and admiration for her, her music, her personality, her image etc however those acts are hardly influenced by her if you look at heir careers and the musical content itself.
