In promotion of her latest single, Azealia Banks went on David Letterman's late night show to perform her hot new #1 hit, Vibes, as well as do an interview. In promotion for Azealia's appearance on the late night talk show, NBC has been airing "and Azealia Banks spills ALL on Letterman!" for the past week and a half. The performance and interview racked up an approximate 6 million viewers to the show, one of the season highs. Also last night, Azealia Banks was accompanied by Matt Damon and George Takei.
For Azealia's performance on the show, Azealia wore a basketball jersey for the LA lakers and jordans that were white to match her pure white, LA Lakers hat. With her two female dancers on stage wearing identical clothing, Azealia was owning the stage at that very moment. The Vibes (Mike Will Made It) remix was what was performed and Yanis Marshall's complex choreographed movements were hit at every second on the stage. When it came time to sing the 4th verse that was added in for the remix, Azealia stepped off the stage and sat in the crowd to rap the verse, much to the crowd's pleasure. After the last chorus of the song, the crowd gave Azealia a standing ovation and after a commercial break, it was time for the interview. Read below for excerpts from the interview:
Q: Wow! Amazing performance by an amazing artist, Azealia Banks everyone! Now tell me, how do you do it?
A: Wow thank you so much it was such an honor to perform on your stage. And how do I do what?
Q: How do you keep making each and every performance better and better and each performance is so different. How do you do it?
A: Oh haha. I don't know how I do it. I guess there's just something about me. I love to perform and I just don't want my fans to leave a performance saying "wow that sucked" you know? I always want to give my fans a good and unique performance.

Zendaya and Taylor Swift, who have a collaborative single together out at the moment, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! studios right in Burbank. They were both booked to perform only one song inside the studios, but due the amount of people that showed up to watch the girls perform on Jimmy's show, ABC decided to let them perform their set outside the studios infront of the whole crowd who were anticipating for their performance. About 2,000 people showed up at their Jimmy Kimmel Live! special concert to watch those girls perform their new collaborative single "Gunshots" and some other songs as well. On the stage, Zendaya showed up wearing white knee-long shorts, a tight and black crop top, and rocked some cute sneakers with this outfit. Her hair was slicked back into a low ponytail, and the make-up was simple just as always during her performances. Besides Zendaya and Taylor, eight back-up dancers and a live band showed up on stage to help them out with their performance. The first song that Zendaya performed was her recently released single, which caused some attention as it rose on iTunes charts and became Zendaya's first single to reach Top 10 on those charts. "Gunshots" - that's how the song is called - features Taylor Swift's sweet and beautiful vocals on several parts of the song, which makes this song way more interesting, because it's a rare thing to have country pop sing featured on a rhythmic urban song. But of course, it more fun and eventful to take risks thank continue doing something that has been done for a lot of times already. Zendaya started the performance of this song by singing some lines completely in acapella, without live band or back-up vocalists backing her up on this one. And she actually killed this this part as she was able to show off her voice more, since it's a bit difficult for Zendaya to do that throughout normal performances when she's dancing and moving a lot on stage, which makes her basically out of breath. Although Coleman's voice isn't as strong as it could be and it's definitely softer, but she killed those few lines and she did her thing, honestly. Once she did her thing with those few lines, live band started playing the song, while Zendaya and her eight back-up dancers started immediately dancing. They did their usual slayage with this dance routing, which they've been rehearsing for about a month or two probably, and it was really noticable indeed, because everything seemed to be so perfectly synchronized and polished, and professional. Taylor Swift showed up on stage right when it was time for her to sing the chorus. Both Zendaya & Taylor served good vocals and dance moves. Even Taylor did a little moves here and there! After they performed "Gunshots" together, Taylor left the stage while Zendaya stayed up there to perform another song. The next song that Zendaya performed was yet another new song titled "Boheme", which is still unreleased, but it has been already confirmed that this song will make an appearance on Coleman's upcoming sophomore record. Speaking of Zendaya's sophomore album - she told the crowd that the album's coming out in about two weeks, which confirms mid July release, sometime from July 11th to July 18th, probably. The performance was really simple, as Zendaya sang and danced with her back-up dancers at the same time. Once her performance was over, Zendaya walked off the stage and interacted with her fans by signing their posters and taking pictures with them.
Due to business and musical conflict, "Camouflage" Records has decided to release Coldplay from the label. "Camouflage" Records CEO Jonathan Daniel expressed dissapointment that Coldplay will be leagin the "Camouflage" family. The BBC Radio 1 interview is switched to Carly Rae Jepsen as Coldplay is released from the label.
Today, Rihanna released the remixes of her new single "Juicy Cakes" remixes feature 6 different remixes of Medusa, and a new cover, wihout all the fruits, and colors. The fruits still features the same poses from both ladies, and features a banana on the cover, just the background is different.
The remixes include the remixes from Calvin Harris, Dave Aude, Bimbo Jones, RedOne and the complete slayage the rewritten version of juicy cakes by a pop divas (Zendaya Coleman, Britney Jean Spears, Kelly Clarkson, and The group Danity Kane) the new version just slays, and throws other remixes into the trash bin. It's just so good, and sexy, also trashy, over the top and nasty, but still the song sounds even hotter now, and it's all because of those ladies.
Remix album is released on iTunes now, so you all better get it, because it's hot, and will definitely put you in a hot summer mood, so wait are you waiting for go get it, while they still have it, the release is limited (not) just saying that to get more sales, cause you now I'm desperate for those sales, and Rihanna wants ha money.
Tracklist:

Juicy Cakes (written by Rihanna, Zendaya, Kelly, Britney, Danity Kane and Brandy)
Juicy Cakes (Calvin Harris remix)

"Bruises fade, father, but the pain remains the same"
It has been more than over a decade since Christina last spoke or even interacted with her father - Fausto Aguilera, an Army Sergeant of Ecuadorian descent who physically and emotionally scarred his family. Ever since Shelly Kearns (Aguilera's mother) fled with her children in tow, Christina barely knew her father except from being that monster who infested her mind every day. Never knowing what he'd do next. Coming back from school.. only to find her mother beaten up to a pulp. Christina still, of course, vividly recalls the moment when Fausto threw her [Christina] against the stairs in a pool of blood. That was the definitive incident that made Shelly pack up her bags with her children. She could take being abused herself, but not her children.
There was nowhere to run, especially when Aguilera was only a few years old back then, so all that pained resentment ultimately fueled and motivated her passion for music to inspire those who feel helpless by utilising her voice to enrich them with the salvation they desperately need, like she did also. She discovered artist (specially those derived from 'the blues' and indirectly felt their pain as if it was her own. Christina realised this was her passion. Every single time she would hear her parents having a bust up, Christina would run to her room and sing. Just sing. And that was it. Her only means of escape.
'Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. 'I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.'
In true sophisticated fashion, Christina has never been too vocal about what had happened all those years ago with her shameful father. It's not something to flaunt as if something to be proud of. Not once has Christina ever used the abuse she suffered for attention, money, or pity. Having said that, it IS highly significant to bring alight those taboo subject matters and realise they're not something from the movies. They're real-life experiences. Something in which Christina had to experience through all the neglect that came with it. At least she twisted what an awful childhood she had, as far as Aguilera's relationship with her father is concerned, to a more tangible meaning. You could say that she probably would've been a vastly different Christina Aguilera to what we have today if she hadn't been put through all that, since no one should ever.
Back during her Stripped days, Xtina wrote and composed an incredibly personal song titled "I'm OK" in 2002. The entire track entails the graphic details about the occurrences of domestic abuse within the Aguilera household. In a story-like formatted fashion, Christina describes her mistreated with as much conviction as vulnerability held throughout this body of work. All in all, Stripped was a grave depiction of Christina's life in the form of music. However, "I'm OK" was simply too.. real. Almost as if she had been put in the same position again like her young self once did.
In stark comparison, Christina's father has completely denied any allegations correlating to the accusations that he abused Christina and her sister Rachel. In 2002, the Army Sergeant said: 'My relationship with her mother was tense and I wasn't perfect. But I love Christina and her sister Rachel. I never abused them in any way and they know that. Shelly and I disagreed on a lot of things and we both had hot tempers. I'm sorry to have ever raised a hand to my wife, but it was never brutal like Ike and Tina Turner.'
"To you, it's just a memory.. but for me, it still lives on"
Due to understandable circumstances, Aguilera has never once mentioned (let alone perform) "I'm OK" until her special edition of VH1 Storytellers in 2014. It was just after Bionic had supposedly tanked that Christina decided to bare all for the world. The very telling and intimate setting was the perfect surroundings for this to even happen. We're just glad that Christina acknowledges the fact that even though she may still hurt inside.. that does not mean we cannot look forward to a brighter day. Christina Aguilera is living proof of that seemingly impossible - yet entirely possible - feat.
She relived those traumatic memories for us. Yet she fought through it like the 'Fighter' she always was. Christina Aguilera is one to be glorified and not knocked down. A true survivor of many with a burning desire to inspire in a world where there's nothing but darkness.
Aguilera's lead single "Nighthawks" is now available for purchase.
