Christina Aguilera pays tribute to Etta James
Aguilera has always cited Etta James as being one of the most influential figures during her lifetime. She probably was (and still is) Aguilera's greatest source of motivation, not just in terms of Christina's musical career, but also correlating to every day survival. Etta was her salvation. In ways that nobody would understand - but Christina herself.
You may recall Aguilera at James' funeral when an infamous event occurred there. Legend X stunned close relatives to Etta with her very own justified rendition of timeless classic "At Last". Then the unexpected happened. This liquid of quite strange consistency notoriously ran down Aguilera's leg. People were speculating as to whether it was her period or tan liner. Yet they overlooked the heartfelt tribute Christina Aguilera payed the late great Etta James. What a shame.
Back then in her B2B days, Christina received the opportunity to finally meet her idol. It was during a special spread InStyle Magazine held which featured present-day singers meeting their greatest role models. Aguilera near-on teared up at even the thought of potentially being in the same room as Etta James.
“Etta is my all-time favourite singer,” Aguilera explained. “I’ve said it for the last seven years — since I had my first debut record out — in every interview, in every story, in every on- and off-camera question. I mean, all of Etta’s old songs, countless songs I could name, I grew up listening to. That music was always such a huge escape for me, even from a young age.”
As you can see, Etta has impacted Christina on a level that cannot be determined by just the naked human eye. Aguilera is carrying the torch of being such an inspirational figure and taking it to the extreme. Bouts of young girls and even boys have looked up to her ever since she co-starred on the Mickey Mouse Club - with fellow mousketeers Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Glad. We're glad to witness such vulnerability in a girl that seems to have this tough exterior. It's endearing yet eye-opening.

AGUILERA | ALBUM TITLE | PANDORA'S BOX

It can be EXCLUSIVELY confirmed that Christina Aguilera's upcoming 8th studio album shall be titled: Pandora's Box. The lead single has already been released last week - "Nighthawks" - and it's doing quite well by matching up to Aguilera's whim-success of the past year with Say Something [AGBW] and "Eclectic".
There isn't a definitive album cover art as of yet, however, a series of promo pics have been leaked so it's not clear whether the cover will go a similar direction of thought. For example, the picture attached to this article may or may not be any indication of what's to come and be expected by Christina from this next era. Nevertheless, we feel as though Xtina will incorporate a vastly arrayed mirage of themes and there's no doubt she'll be able to pull it all off once again.
In other news, Aguilera teased TWO upcoming EPs a few days ago - Truth Pill and True Soul. It shall be entirely interesting as to how these shall be executed amidst her long-awaited LP instead. Moreover, Christina also quite recently hinted at a potential track on Pandora's Box called "Let Them Eat Cake" with the lyrics "Ride me like a beer wagon". It seems as though this record will truly showcase and capture the essence of our chameleon queen of versatility: Christina Aguilera. Here at the HQ, we're gravely anticipating Legend X's latest musical venture just as much as her Fighters are. We do not doubt her power. At all.

Monday, June 30th Promotion
LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS

Danity Kane made their late-night show return on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night. Wearing black, white and yellow attire they chatted with Seth for a brief moment. The trio discussed upcoming promotion, how excited they are to release their EP and how they want to tour the world. The four had a few laughs here and there, the audience loved the energy from the girls. The episode had around four million viewers, which was a steady amount of viewers compared to the season's average. Here's a recap of Danity Kane's "Lemonade" performance.
The instrumental began to play, and Dawn began to rap her verse. (“Love it, when I’m flexin’ up in my car / Door swing open, for my passenger") Dawn’s arm extends and floats to the left, making a semi-circle motion. (“Look up in the mirror, fix my mascara”) She then slides her hand on her forehead and (“People wanna know, who the hell is her”) she swings her left arm in the air as if she’s rioting. She wore a tinted gray pair of shorts with a yellow crop top. Her weave was nice and wavy, and she stunned with her choreography. She dropped low and popped her hips left and right to the sound of the bass. She then shouted: "Seth Meyers crowd, you thirsty?!" as they transitioned into the chorus.
(“Oooh / These haters got a, sour ass look up on they face”) The girls strutted forward, looking fierce as ****. The girls belted out the word of the single “lemonade” effortlessly, as they swerved their arms to show off parts of their body, but in a very classy manner. (“They lookin’ so thirsty, might just need a drink / Lemonade, lemonade / Lemonade, lemonade”) The trio all swayed left and right, then blasted their fists out on-point with the rhythm to form a cup and swayed their arms in different motions for a very nice visual effect. The little details of their performance were on point.
Aubrey stepped into the front, starting her verse. (“I feel your eyes, on me / I like how, it feel / I hope that you, enjoyed your five / But I’ll take it from here”) She walks up even further to the camera, gives a little boy a high-five in the crowd and skips back to the center of the stage. (“I’m late, to the party / But I’m always, on time”) The girls sway their hips and pop left-to-right in a slow motion, flipping their hair as well. Shannon stepped out, with her soft ’n sweet voice to sing the pre-chorus. (“Who cares, if we turn up every night / The top down, when we pull up at the light”) She approaches the front of the girls, as they have made a full rotation as to whom the center of attention is. During the rest of the pre-chorus, every two beats, a snap would be heard in the instrumental. The girls snapped and stuck a pose, each complimenting each other’s with every pose they struck. They continued to slay a bit more with the chorus and Dawn's second verse was fire.
The third time the chorus played came, and the girls did more harmonizing. Dawn, Aubrey and Shannon each got a turn in belting out the “lemonade” lyric as the other two sang it softly. Some drumbeats came, and some lights flickered as Tyga began to rap (via playback). The girls entered a dance breakdown, which stunned the viewers back home, and the host. Flipping their hair, spinning and doing more dance moves incorporating their arms - the three full-on SLAYED the breakdown. Smoke cracked up as they sang the final lyric (curing the song a little short) in harmony: “Lemonade, lemonade”. At the end of their performance, they all took a bow and thanked everyone for the opportunity. They also reminded the viewers that "Lemonade" is out now. The song rose up back to the #4 spot after the performance.

Rihanna fires back at Dolly. She stole "Juicy Cakes" riff, sound and half of lyrics.

Yesterday, a sad and bitter old woman, used to be a star long ago, but then kinda faded and starred in flop movies. Now she is eyeing a comeback with her new single, which name I can’t remember, and she accused Rihanna of copying her lyrics.
Dolly says: Rihanna’s “Juicy Cakes” is a total rip off of my new single, I will not accept this, this hoe can’t just take song a change it a little, but sad news is that Rihanna’s song was recorded a long ago like in 2004 by Khia, who then left the song in dust, but Rihanna discovered that song and reworked with producers. And now this bitter woman calls it a rip off her’s song.
Rihanna: I will not accept this, how does she dare to accuse me of such a thing, I had respect for her, but now bye, this b**ch will be sued, and I’ll get my money, reports say that Dolly's’s song was produce, written in 2012, and Rihanna's in 2004, but reworked in studios in 2011, and then recorded by Rihanna in 2014. This lie will not go unseen, no one calls me a thief, and especially a hoe, especially a hoe like that. My songs are always done fair and my writers & producers never steal, unlike Madame’s who should already be in retirement home, she better count her coins, because she will need them after I’m done with her in court. You shouldn’t have done what you’ve done, because now you went on a bad side of Riri, and she won’t take it.
This scandal has already caused a stir, and Dolly seems to be the pressed one. Khia herself stated that Dolly just wants some attention, because well it’s hard for her to slay, not every older woman can be Madonna. Dolly is a huge thief and a liar, but it wouldn’t be the first time, she has stolen a lot of beats from others, and a lot of lyrics from other, but now she talked and she will be ruined, other writers and artist that Dolly stolen songs from are going to a court with Riri and suing Dolly, stay tuned.

Content is a debatable thing. If it were based on content, everyone would just do crazy unrealistic stuff like '____ Performs at Superbowl' to go #1.

Coldplay: The Billboard Review on "Angel"
They achieved worldwide fame with the release of the single "Yellow" in 2000, followed by their debut album released in the same year, Parachutes, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), was released to critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including NME's Album of the Year. They have also come top of the BBC Radio 2 poll of the favourite album of all time.
14 years later after their debut, Coldplay releases a new single "Angel" which reminded fans of Coldplay's old hits such as "The Scientist" and "Fix You". Written by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and supreme songstress Mariah Carey, this song talks about not being able to be together due to status differences. Production wise, the organ piano is the lead instrumentation which is eventually swapped out for a stomp-clap beat and again for a synth beat. Following the song's second chorus, these beats are gradually combined together while Martin sings in falsetto which reminds fans of "Magic", which also used the same concept and structure.
The song's theme is a repeat of their critically acclaimed album, Ghost Stories. It seems that Coldplay is slowly going back to their roots with this song, and may get back old fans that they've lost during the Mylo Xyloto era.

Britney Spears MBC Music Special
The largest music channel in South Korea, MBC Music, hosts a wide variety of music related TV shows. Today there was an unknown 25 minute special scheduled for the prime viewing hours in Korea today. Korean music fans tuned in as it was teased throughout the day that a "big worldwide star" would be making a "massive appearance".
The big world star was none other than Pop Sensation, Britney Spears.
The special was a 15 minute performance + 10 minute interview.
The performance

It started with a pitch black stage and white smoke covering all the sides, the stage was huge and one of the biggest ever featured on MBC Music. The lights slowly turned on revealing Britney sitting on a cloth high up in the air with a massively long white dress which extended almost halfway down to the stage. Britney started the performance with a slowed down, piano ballad version of Deranged. Britney sang the song completely live and sang the chorus in Korean. Smoke surrounded the stage during the performance and beautiful light effects were displayed throughout.
After Deranged was over, the cloth and Britney lowered down to the stage. Britney took off parts of the dress revealing the base was a white lingerie corset with crystals all over the visible parts of her body. The iconic toxic instrumental started playing as fire came out of the stage. Britney began to dance in a ring of fire, getting down low to the stage. She then took off the lingerie corset and revealed the full toxic-crystal body suit. She danced to the original toxic choreo with her back up dancers. Britney also danced through the laser beams to get the poison just like in the video. She then poisoned the main male dancer and left the stage much like the video but instead of jumping the air she jumped into a large rectangular hole in the stage.
The stage went pitch black but seconds later a futuristic plane came out of the ground as a robotic countdown started. "10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1" Britney came out of the top of the plane as a futuristic army lined up all around it.

Spears was their leader, she was holding a futuristic gun and shot laser beams in the air aiming for the camera recording the performance. Spears then did a front flip off the plane and landed flawlessly onto the stage below. The men started to surround her as "Gimme Your Best" played. This performance lasted for over 6 minutes as it featured a lot of remixes and extended instrumentals. Britney avoided the men by jumping onto a flat circular platform which rose high into the air as she sang the first chorus of Gimme Your Best, it flew around the stage until Britney jumped off it and onto a black ring hanging above center stage. She did several gymnastic moves on the ring before jumping off and back to the crowd of male dancers. She pushed them away as her ladies rose from underneath the stage, her and her ladies got into a circle all holding futuristic guns and shooting them at the men. They then threw their guns away and all pulled their legs up in synch and proceeded to jump down to a full split. Thats when the rain started hitting the girls as they danced sensually on the ground, touching each other and touching themselves. This segment lasted for a minute and a half to an extended instrumental of "Gimme Your Best". The girls then got up as the chorus hit once again and Spears began physically defeating her male army, none of them were good enough for her. Unlike her previous performances, Britney defeated every remaining male. She spoke into the mic and said "sometimes.. no man is good enough" and went into one last dance break with all her girls to the final chorus of Gimme Your Best before smoke surrounded the stage and Britney disappeared.

An interview backstage with fans and Korean news reporters followed the 15 minute performance. Britney wore a traditional and respectful Korean outfit
-Britney what do you wish to say to your Korean fans?
Brit: That I love them all and I can't wait to come back to Korea again! I promise I'll be back soon enough.
-What do you have to say about Mariah Carey's shade?
Brit: I think I deserved it *giggles* uhm yeah I feel bad for saying what I said totally and I didn't mean it like that! I love Mariah's music and I just haven't kept up with her stuff as of late. I did check out her new song though and it's really good so I'm sorry for being shady Mariah! Please don't hate me!!!
-Are you dating Cristiano Ronaldo? You kissed him during your performance earlier this morning in the UK.
Brit: Oh man.. uhm, perhaps! I don't wanna confirm or deny because I really hate talking about my love life *giggles*.
-Who do you support in the world cup?
Brit: I know you want me to say Portugal but I'm rooting for USA.
-Will you tour here in Korea?
Brit: Yes, but I can't say much about that yet.
-Is your new MTV documentary going to be your best yet and is your album actually your best ever?
Brit: The MTV documentary is without a doubt the best documentary of my career. I personally think the album is my best ever, to compare.. before I made this album In The Zone and Blackout were my two favorites. This album is a step above both of those, I think it will be the fans new favorite.
-Your new song Gimme Your Best is totally pop, will the whole album be like that?
Brit: No, definitely not. There's a bunch of urban songs on the album. A lot of pop and electro-pop though.
-Will you release a new fragrance anytime soon?
Brit: Oh my goodness you guys are nailing these questions! Yes I plan to release a new one soon.
-Your pepsi commercial is receiving a lot of airplay here in Korea, will we get more commercials from you soon?
Brit: Yes, definitely.
-How are you preparing for your appearance on SNL this weekend.
Brit: I've been working on the skits every day, trying to add funny one liners into them and stuff. I've been working on my acting, yeah I'm trying to give it my best!
-Thank you for coming to Korea, we love you!
Brit: Aw thank you so much!
Spears signed several autographs and left the building as the special faded out to another show.

DOLLY PARTON TWEETS RIHANNA
Dolly Parton the “Not Through Loving You” singer took to Twitter today to end a long standing feud that was started by TMZ. As she typed up a nice, “What is TMZ thinking? Nothing but lies, I respect Rihanna” tweet, she saw the wonderful story Rihanna’s people had posted.
To thank Rihanna for her kind words, she instead decided to Tweet this after a bottle of Jack Daniels.
Fans who assumed they were getting a free copy of Rhianna’s new album were surprised to find that it was actually a copy of Dolly Parton’s magazine spread from the 1970s. Once again Dolly and Rihanna have Rickrolled fans for free promo.
