The Cedric Gervais remix was also something her label orchestrated without her consent. It was originally only meant to be for Germany but it caught on and became a hit everywhere. The original version was also a hit though, selling over 1m copies in the United States and actually outcharting the remix in many countries.

Yeah...generic catchy pop songs are not almost 6 minutes long and have lyrics like "I get down to beat poetry", "yeah my jazz collection's rare" and have an incredibly slow, meandering tempo. Songs fit for radio are songs that get to the hook as fast as possible. Lana's music is the opposite of that.
