Rih is more respected from the Grammy's to the GP, that's it.

And the Grammys she has won are hers too, i mean who cares if it's a duet or not? (Crazy In Love is a duet but no one denies that the Grammy winner is Beyoncé), who cares if it's for a dance track (Toxic won in that category too but it's still counted as the only Grammy Britney has won)

Said that, Grammy's doesn't make an artist greater than another... there are too many things to count, well in my opinion Rihanna > Katy, but who cares?

The problem is not who writes the songs, it is what they write and Katy writes bubblegum pop songs which sound dated after a few months (except Teenage Dream and Thinking of You).

Rihanna has better music and a little more diversive compared to Katy.

I won't argue the first part because you'll believe what you want to believe. That's your prerogative.

Clearly you're more concerned about "the process" than the Grammy committee is. At the end of the day Katy is writing her songs with Bonnie and Luke and winning absolutely nothing. No one gives a **** about writing credits and their validity if the ART isn't there. Once again, Katy has not proven herself with an undeniably great pop song and she refuses to branch out into different genres.

Katy does one music genre.

1) She does not remain stagnant or sticks to a couple of generic formula to make hits
2) She has shown diversity in her music and visuals
3) At age of 19 she made GGGB an album which all the katy albums need to top in terms of sale,acclaim,impact and over all success
4) At 21 she gave us Rated R - an album that you wont expect coming from someone who is coming from such a huge era .
5) She released a dark , demented ballad like Russian Roulette as lead single
6) She shunned everyone with a diverse loud and proved she can get critical acclaim and sales both
7) She mainstreamed fusion of dance music and urban (Not my word but david guetta's)
8) Again in 2011 she mainstreamed EDM in america with WFL
9) She has been constantly improving on her vocals
10) Collaborating with people who bring the best out of her and vice versa and it doesn't matter to her if they are successful or not ( Calvin (Pre WFL) , Mikky ekko , Future etc )

Do you need anymore reason ?

In this competitive business only writing your own songs doesn't cut it anymore . You have to be alert about what's news , what kind of music has a potential to be huge , who are the right people to collaborate with

And at the end of it all she is not doing this for the awards , this is who she is
