Well I was there in March and it was quite a nice place to be honest. Afterall it depends on where you go. If you go to upper-middle class restaurants and stay in a decent hotel then you will have no problem of keeping up your hygiene standard and ****. Tuk tuk drivers are mostly able to speak basic English too. Although honestly, there are still some places that are quite dirty and under-developed.
My most favorite things there would be Fish Amok (this is one of the most delicious food I have ever tried) and the hospitality. I went to Cambodia ALONE and I did not get any problem at all. People are so helpful (although I got scammed when I visited Angkor Wat, but it's just a minor one so I chose to shrug it off)
Anyway, who knows that Bie is from Cambodia. Never guessed that
