We are still developing Canada... Projects such as Northern Gateway and Keystone XL haven't even begun! The Alberta tar sands is in its infancy. I prefer the term "First World country".
I've been in several Southeast Asian countries and it's all beautiful. Indonesia is the most beautiful one though since you will find temples like in Cambodia, pretty beaches like in Thailand, rich culture, and pretty developed facilities. People are (or were) pretty nice towards foreign tourists too.
But then again I will choose Maldives over any other places if I want to go to some beaches, and Macchu Picchu if I want to do sightseeing over some ancient temples lol
