$90M is just estimated though, it could be lower or higher than that, not significantly,. I think it'll be higher and will outgross The Amazing Spider-Man 2's 3-day total (91.6M), just an additional 900k is needed.

BOMojo predicted it to top $470 internationally with another $290M from the US. Internationally it will likely eclipse $500M based on this weekend's estimates but the US figure might fall short... it all hinges on the word-of-mouth drop next week.

I'm genuinely shocked at the $90M debut. It should have topped $95 based on all signs. The international number of $171M is pretty fantastic, and Japan will start adding to that from next weekend.

Most likely it'll have a four day run of around $110M. That $125M was from Variety who speculate based on nothing. BOMojo had said $120M would be the top, but it basically wouldn't make that most likely.

Not over three days no but Transformers all but certainly will, though. Internationally it has the highest opening of the year so far (as far as I'm aware) but Transformer's will probably snatch that, and Hunger Games and The Hobbit will try snatch that again in Q4.

3-day total is unlikely, CA2 made $95M, and the actual numbers coming out on monday won't be 4.3M higher. If you count the long weekend, it'll easily outgross that.

On the positive side, this is a big uptick from First Class, which opened with like 55 million. The franchise is starting to rebuild itself since X3 and Origins so I'd say the numbers we see now are quite good.

Reviews and good word of mouth will give it legs for sure.

The next movie, Apocalypse is probably where it can potentially hit 1 billion if this one turns out to be a big hit.

X3 was a bad enough blow but with another good film it could have survived, but that Wolverine thing was the PITS
