No one is going around killing/arresting/harassing White people they assume to be 'rednecks'.
PLENTY of people are going around killing/arresting/harassing Black teens they stereotype to be criminals.
Our stereotypes are infinitely worse.

I just said. These systems only exist because of what people always have and still do think of us. Cultural MISappropriation contributes to this dangerous, wrong thinking.

If they aren't making fun of the culture then its okay. But also not when some people use it as a costume for Halloween or something like that

Nobody's going out killing black people because they see Miley twerking and acting ratchet or Macklemore going around rapping about junk shops.
Anyhow, most people who kill black people are other black people....and vice-versa.

I'd have to agree with Black Power on this one, which is something I usually don't
In the US, White People are seen at the "mainstream" culture and they really don't get negatively stereotyped against. All minorities however are negatively stereotyped and African Americans generally get the full brunt of it.

Cool. Let me wear a fake moustache, pancho, and sombrero and speak broken Spanglish while beating a $3 plastic banjo to mock your cultural heritage and history while I'm at it.

Cultural appropriation technically exists all over the world in a multitude of ways. It's simply a reality of living in a world that has many different vibrant cultures. Things never exist in a vacuum.
Being offensive and stereotypical is one thing, but simply paying homage to another culture is not offensive. People who cry foul over "Hello Kitty" are a really bazaar cultural phenomenon (and a byproduct of the internet). It's funny because they are in the minority, but they have such loud voices online that news companies pick up on it and make it a big deal. Then the real world reacts with question marks over their heads. Even the people from cultures who are supposed to be the ones offended in the first place.

Mess I should have explained myself further.
If you want to paint your face like a sugar skull for Halloween, or if you want to wear a shirt with Aztec imagery on because you like the aesthetic, that's perfectly fine.
When you're out right mocking someone or their culture/religion, then it becomes a problem.

I can't believe you have to break it down like this. It's such a simple, elementary concept. But if there's one thing people have become addicted to, it's outrage. They love it, beg for it, etc, etc...

It depends on the culture too.
For example like cultures that have very strong religious links, you best stay away from them. The bindi has a huge religious significance and hipster girls are just wearing them like an accessory. They're not at some hindi festival, they were at Coachella. A line needs to be drawn at times.

It's blown out of proportion and it seems that the majority of the time the people whining are just sitting on the internet trying to make themselves feel important and clever.
I'm so over hearing about this ********.
If they're going to spend their time debating racial/cultural topics, why don't they dedicate it to important issues, not a music video/performance etc that will have zero impact in this world?

people just want the tiny tiny 2% or 3% to get angry about because anger has become an oxygen that people need to find meaning in their lives.

Seriously, it has become one endless barrage of "white people suck", when better energy can be put improving their own people.

You probably think racism doesn't exist, don't you? And that black people should just get over their "issues" with racism because slavery hasn't existed in decades, right?

Racism exists, but that's just a fact of life. Move on and prove yourself to be capable regardless of skin colour.

There are all kinds of people who receive discrimination and racism on a constant basis, like South Asians, East Asians, recent African immigrants, etc. Look, they still succeed! They don't sit around blaming white people and abusing food stamps/unemployment insurance.
