`I'm surprised The Boys didn't chart in 2011 (sold 20,000 in the US which was - more than likely - in the first of week of release while they were massive throughout Asia back then too.
The Boys charted on the WW chart for at least 2 weeks.
Black Box is one of the best albums released last year, not lackluster at all. The MV was fine, they were not trying to serve some huge budget copy of Kill Bill, they just tried to serve a cool/fun version of it.
According to Jea "The whistle in the intro of the song reminded me of the movie 'Kill Bill'. Members said that it would a good idea so we filmed the M/V as the homage to the movie and made the clothings have the mood of western dramas."
The song is not that powerful bop that Brown Eyed Girls usually serve but it's not a bad song at all, the fact JeA is the mind behind it just makes me love "Kill Bill" even more.
Well, it did nothing for me. I've given it several tries also.
I actually liked Kill Bill and Black Box was OK. There was one song on it that I really liked, but the English name escapes me... It was a bop anyway. I was talking about the public not being here for their material, not saying they flopped because it was bad!

I love Wonder Girls but at this point the last thing I want is a comeback from them because I don't think it could live up to the standards they set for themselves before everything turned to ****.
No, no, no. This is all wrong. They are not dead in the slightest. I mean hello, the amount of Wonderfuls that still stan for solo Sunmi, because she was in the group 5 years ago!
I can totally see them do a Shinwa, i.e. having a comeback here and there. I don't see them trying to compete with being #1, sure, but they're beyond that stage I feel. They've proved themselves enough. They have the fanbase, don't underestimate them. I think their comeback stage for Be My Baby was one of the most loudest/passionate fanchants I have heard to date in K-Pop history
Now that is STANNING
I would totally be here for a WG comeback! Sunye present. Let ha be that person I was talking about earlier, the one who is a wife and has a kid but is also an idol. Make [more ] history sistrens
Oh and let's not forget - they also gave JYP his last #1

I really wish older idols were able to still be popular. Hyori, Shinhwa, Baek Ji Young and Park Ji Yoon were the only 90's survivors I can think of.
And Park Ji Yoon flopped with every release after 2003 until her big comeback last year with Mr. Lee. Maybe the artists just need the right song to make it big again.
Now gurl, why you gotta do me like that? I really thought they stanned for her, because her performances always got loud fanchants going on
It's such a good mini though, wtf...
Sunmi is doing really well with the 'Full Moon' single not so much physical sales but really it's not surprising considering it's mostly male groups and male solo artists who have better album sales.
Wonderfuls are still supporting her as much they can though so it's not that bad and 'Full Moon' (single) has been really consistent on the charts.

Wonder Girls peak physical sales were 80,000+ so that really isn't that bad when you think about it.
But yaaaaaas!
24 Hours (as it was on an album released in 2014) > The collab with Yubin > Crush > Marionette > Full Moon for me so it is clearly ticking the right boxes for some people.

I don't know why Full Moon sold so poorly physically (I bought three copies ). A good 90+% of her fanbase in Korea is WG fans, Wonderful is still her official fanclub and she posts all her messages to fans there all the time and still refers to her fans as Wonderfuls and it's them who organize all the support projects and stuff for her. Even to get into her pre-recordings at music shows you have to bring either a copy of her album or one of WG's albums. Hopefully her next release will sell more albums

Nnnn;
I bought 4 copies first then worked some things out but still in the end I bought 2 copies.
She's doing great singles wise but yeah hopefully with her next album she can sell more.
I seen soompi had official Sunmi 'Full Moon' goods I was going to buy them but yeah the goods aren't that amazing

I bought 2 on mwave just to be sure I got one signed, then later I just bought the one on soompi and I couldn't figure out how to cancel the mwave order but I ended up getting picked twice on there so now I'll have three signed I'll just sell 2 of them

Lucky get that money tho
I cancelled my 2 copies on mwave then just ordered one from kpopmart and the autographed one from Soompi.
I don't mind owning 2 copies because it's Sunmi and I really love the album but I'm pressed about the official goods though they are lame I so would have bought them if they were something different.
Anyone feel like 'Black Box' was BEG going for mainstream, global appeal with more straight-forward pop and R&B? Probably trying to take advantage of Ga In starring in "Gentleman" and then it just ultimately not working for them?
I felt like I could hear the "Kill Bill" instrumental on a Kesha record...

This is actually an interesting point of view, I knew it was lacking something but that could be the cause. I love Black Box but it was missing something for me.
I wanted stuff like Sixth Sense and Sign but the album was a nice effort nonetheless.
I bought Full Moon, disappointed with the packing. That lame comic of the Full Moon MV. Glad I have the Yenny duet of "If That Was You" though even if the acoustic one slays everything on the entire mini.
