I'm so DAMN TIRED of comments like this. Yes its in the past, but why should the descendants of blacks STOLEN from their native land continue to PAY/SUFFER for that? Slavery was abolished and white people left, but they left blacks in the GROUND. they never offered a sincere helping hand that truly brought people of color up from the ground. Im from the Caribbean and we are still paying for what the europeans did to us, so why shouldnt THEY pay? For what THEY did? This is why racism will never end. Europeans literally ****ED UP people of color, they destroyed our homelands, brought us to a foreign place, forced us into slavery, treated us like ****, liberated us for reasons that had NOTHING to do with morality (they only liberated slaves because it was more expensive to maintain a slave than it was to run a machine), and then CONTINUED to treat us like ****.
NO its not in the past. we are still paying for what was done to our ancestors. So why shouldnt THEY pay us for reparation? Why? they dont pay us reparation because they want to keep us DOWN. They want to act like its all equal and fair until a Person of color comes into power or a person of color gets money. Then they want to scream and say that people of color are practicing "reverse racism."
POINT: They keep us down because theyre scared that well do to them what they did to us.
I'm saying if the Carribean countries are suing Britain because of the slave trade, why wouldn't or shouldn't they sue the US, because the US was a huge place of the Atlantic slave trade, and was one of the last countries to abolish slavery
