My only problem is they shouldn't have made a grand announcement about it. At the end of the day, I really don't give a flying **** about your sexuality/gender. You're trans*? Great. You're cisgender? K. Genderqueer? Want a cookie? This shouldn't be a big thing and I hate that society makes a big deal out of sexuality and gender. Facebook should have done this a long time ago. In this case, they should have silently added the additional options. If we want all genders and sexualities to be accepted, we simply need to stop caring so much. Do you pay much attention if someone says they are straight? Highly doubt it. Pay much mind when someone identifies as male or female? Probably not. Gay? Not really, but at least I know there's more than a 0% chance of us getting together.
But yeah, good for Facebook.
