Who am I to say no? I'm a female and have two X chromosomes, but a person who's born with 1 X chromosome can identify as either. Who's to say the missing chromosome is an X or a Y. A person with 48.XXYY has a set of two. According the the broad, and false, definition of maleness it requires you to only have 1 Y chromosome and a female to have two XX's. So what is a person that has 48.XXYY? Are they male, female, a male with Klinefelters, a male with XYY syndrome? There are way too many intangibles to just say male, female, or intersex.
