Ok so like

When you're born, you either have a *** or a dick (or intersex but that's a WHOLE other thing).

So if you have a ***, the doctor will say "this is a girl!" and if you have a dick the doctor will say "this is a boy!". What he's doing is assigning your gender identity based on your outward appearance and your sexual organs.

So let's say you live all your life and you identify as a male and you were assigned male at birth, then boom you're "cisgendered". "cis" refers to bond of electrons or atoms I believe. There's "trans" bonds and "cis" bonds. The "cis" bonds are on the same line, while the "trans" bond are diagonal.

Like so

So basically if you identify on the same "line", then you're cis. We used to just say normal but that's really offensive

So if you go your life assigned as male, but you start to realize you identify more as female, then you are transgender. If you get sexual reassignment surgery on your organs, you're technically a transsexual. It's easier to use trans* to describe the umbrella of trans people.

Then there's all these other genders on the spectrum between man and woman. It's a lot so I won't go into it. Google some stuff, I'd avoid tumblr since a lot of it is bias or misinformation.

I mean it makes sense to me and I don't see the big deal. It's never that black and white to say well you have an X and a Y chromosome so you're a male or you have two X's so you're a female. Believe it or not, there are females with an XY and males with two X chromosomes. There are females who are genetically and anatomically female, but identify as male and vice versa. It's called Gender Dysphoria. I, for one, have never been the one to put everyone in a box. You are who you feel like you are. No one else has the power to give you a label.

I know someone who was a guy and now she's a girl and she hates when people called her a transexual because she identifies as a girl

There are 2 genders: male and female. There are also people who have organs of both sexes who can choose which gender they are psychologically closer to and convert. What the purpose of 48 more genders that don't actually exist? OK, it would make sense if they added "intersex", for example, but I'm sorry there are no more genders/karyotypes that exist on planet Earth, other than male or female. Gender is constant, fixed and definite. Sexual orientation or how you act as a male or female is a totally different matter that has nothing to do with one's physical gender.

Male/Female are biological sex, you cant change them. Male= XY Female=XX (other than intersex people)
Man/woman is gender.

Male and female are genders. And if a male/female feel psychologically closer to the opposite gender than to their own physical gender, then they should try to convert into the gender that fits their psychological state. There's no need for other genders.

Great idea, but the whole purpose of being non-binary is that they don't identify with male or female labels.
Just let them choose their own gender instead of forcing them another label that they probably won't like.
