I used to think that way about it as well, but I think that for a lot of trans* people, there's isolation. There are massive amount of depression within the trans* community, and a lot feel as though no one respects them or their identity. We take a lot of it for granted, but having a name for what you
are is really important. I don't identify as bisexual, but I've been known to **** bitches. I only identify as "queer" as opposed to gay or bisexual or gay w/ some **** on the side because there's no real name for how I feel.
Thankfully Facebook has really put an effort in here to make the trans* community feel welcome and supported.
