Both are iconic in their own way. My vote goes to Hilary because of the fact that she was all over the place when I was a child and I grew up with her.

Why is Raven unsuccessful outside of the Disney field?
Nobody bought her music and even then she kind of had some Disney promo to help that.
Her show on ABC Family had some of the worst ratings and it flopped so badly they had to quickly burn off two episodes a night.
The rest of her projects have been straight-to-DVD Tinkerbell movies, so I guess that's cute BUT surely someone so iconic, would have done something BIGGER with their career since leaving the Disney Channel.

Did Raven's music career take off? No.
Did her show on ABC Family flop? Yes.
But let's discuss Hilary as well.
Was A Cinderella Story a moderate hit? Yes.
Raise Your Voice? Flop. The Perfect Man? Flop. Material Girls? Flop. Her "indie" attempts? Flop.
The *MAJORITY* of her singles? Flop. I mean let's not act like Hilary Duff slayed everyone or was some Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera mainstream queen. She catered to the Disney audience and as soon as she stopped doing that.....

Raven is a part of MASS, WIDESPREAD commercial productions. The Cosby Show and Hangin With Mr Cooper were 80s/90s staples, seen by MILLIONS of ALL AGES of ALL DEMOGRAPHICS. They were not some shows on a children's network. The Cosby Show is literally a part of American culture and Raven will always have the title of "Cosby kid" no matter WHAT she does. THAT is iconic. THAT is being remembered.
That's all I'm saying. If you don't get my point, I don't know how else to break it down. I seriously don't think people know what iconic means anymore.

raven was not the main character on the cosby show though, this is like saying DJ from Full House is an icon because she was on that show.

Let's not put words in people's mouths.
Do you really want to compare Hilary's chart singles to Raven's?
I really don't think you do because Raven's whole music career was a nuclear bomb.
To be honest, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper is NOT some iconic TV show, so you probably should take that right out of the equation because it doesn't even make sense, The Cosby Show I will give you BUT that show was an iconic show before Raven even was born.
Raven couldn't even get a film role outside of Disney and I am being nice and not even counting the animated movie that she did called Everybody's Hero that flopped at the box office.

I didn't say HWMC was iconic. I said it was a staple. Which it was, because it was part of TGIF on ABC (I hope you know what I'm talking about), which was regularly watched by millions of Americans. The point of me saying this is to show that Raven's visibility is much more mainstream and remembered than a show on a network SPECIFICALLY TARGETING CHILDREN.
I'm not trying to change your opinion though; I'm just standing by my own. Let's stop though, cuz these circles got me tired.

I was raised on TGIF and Mr. Cooper, I know all about it, I am aware of Raven's career, I get what you are saying.
Hilary's career is a brand, something Raven really does not have because she only has acting in her corner and to be honest, she hardly has that because her latest projects failed. Hilary took the tools she had from Disney and branched out to ALL the areas she could go into and for me that makes her the clear winner. I love Raven but I love me some Hilary a little biT more and that is simply the end.

That's so Raven alone was a better show than Lizzie. I mean at least from That's So Raven we got "Oh snap" which people still say today
Obviously her music career is pretty laughable, but despite Hilary's being successful its not really remembered or anything she's ever done for that matter, but I digress

Ok I'm not delusional Raven was bigger than Lizzie, but that's all raven has, and because Hilary didn't want to have an spin-off of Lizzie mcguire.
