I mean even the cheetah girls was more iconic than Hilary
and even if Raven didn't perform with them she's still a known member and the best singer of the group
Which goes back to the main point.

But yet Hilary's least sold studio album outsold Raven's whole discography?

I'm lost on if sales or history is making someone iconic...
Apparently if your music flops you aren't iconic? Is Hilary more iconic than Lindsay? Does Lohan's media life trump all?
I'm starting to hate "(is suchandsuch) iconic (because I'd rather not have the lone opinion)" threads.

Raven fans are doing the same so I hope you're making this complaint for both. Plus, you've been on ATRL for much longer than me so you should be used to these threads by now. I don't see them ever stopping or slowing down.
And to answer your question, there are plenty of songs that didn't even chart, but are still iconic. For a relevant example, What Dreams Are Made Of did not chart, but it's still iconic imo. I see the song used as a meme a whole lot and people still use "this is what dreams are made of" whenever something good happens to them, including Ariana Grande
Nobody said that either girl is more iconic than Lindsay so I don't know why you're bringing her up? If Raven had the media/tabloid presence that Lindsay has, I would understand that example, but no

Lindsay is in the same Disney girl era as the both, started out on the channel just as young as them and slid into music after starting off acting.. just like them... THAT is why! And it was for pure example as for me trying to figure out just what makes one more iconic than the other.
I can't tell if it's the bank account (Raven), the music (Hilary), the movies (take your pick), or the sheer time-tested relevance of either. Maybe it's just a fraction of all those things. I never really cared what/whom is truly iconic I just like using the word
And just because I've been around here long doesn't mean I ever really see the point in them and this is like my first time saying that. Discussion is discussion I suppose

I understand that part of it, but you brought up Lindsay's media presence that Raven nor Hilary can touch. Lindsay is iconic for different reasons than Hilary and Raven.
Ok. So what makes someone iconic to you?
It's not like I keep tabs on you or am alerted everytime you post so I wasn't implying that this wasn't your first time saying it cause I wouldn't know, but you didn't say you don't see the point in it you said you "hate" these threads. I don't really care for them either.

- So in that sense aren't they all equally iconic? I think one can't touch the other in at least 2 forms.
- Iconic, to me, from this site a least is either one of two things: hot for the moment (maybe the next few months/years) or if it's a song/album did it touch me.. was it a bop.. did I get my life off of it and can I still do it today? Though I think the true definition is in the same vein as legendary, ground-breaking.
- Never said you kept tabs on me. I think you took it another way than I was delivering it. But it's no beef. Hate, can't stand, bored with... all in the same boat to me lol.

In a way, yeah. How can your music be iconic if no one even heard it? And the thread is about who is more iconic, considering everything through their careers. Not just a tv show for example.

No I'm not, and why would I? I was obviously just talking about their solo careers. I mean if those sales were because of Raven, wouldn't that translate into sales for her solo career?
Considering everything I said, I still think Hilary and Raven are the best that came out from Disney.

Why is it so close? No one cares about Lizzie McGuire.

No, Lindsay is more iconic than both Hilary and Raven. It's not even just Hilary and Raven that can't touch Lindsay's media presence, it's very hard for any celebrity to reach Lindsay's amount of media presence. Lindsay is very consistent when it comes to scandals, controversy and is still in the news. I'm not sure if that's the case in other countries, but it is in the US.
I'm not even gonna discuss why I think Hilary is more iconic than Raven tho. If you want to see why, just go back a couple of pages.
And this is why threads like this are kinda useless because everybody has their own opinion and interpret things differently, which makes threads like this kind of tiring tbh.
And ok. I get what you're saying now.
At least you're not biased so I respect your views. No hard feelings to you sis

But the thing is, Even though Hilary was successful in music and the big screen, Her music career wasn't iconic (She's never even scored a top 10 hit) and her movies weren't really Oscar award winning movies anyway so I mean....
Raven acting in "The Cosby show" and "That's So Raven" and even the "cheetah girls" is more remembered than anything Hilary has done besides Lizzie McGuire..
