I don't want to disrupt any of the original flow so I just put them all at the end.
Yeah, after hearing the album, it definitely would not have fit well so I'm pretty much over the disappointment but I would LOVE to know how the full version sounds.
idk if you or anyone has seen this but it's one of my favorite Bey Vocal Vids on YouTube.
It's a compilation of all her best belts and runs from the "I Am...World Tour"
This person is so devout, he/she literally has every single clip of slayage on that tour (which is a lot). I think this is when her rasp started because I hear it between clips and stuff.
BUT
I do remember this interview or something where she mentions that she realized that she sings a lot different when she's on tour and that she's trying to bring that into the studio as well. I think it was a reference to Sasha Fierce, idk
I can't see it, but I bet it's WorkItOut80 his vids.
I've seen them too. And yeah she did say that she noticed her voice was a lot more brassy in concert than on record. Think she said that in the Billboard interview for 4.
It's whatever though. Her voice is not declining by any means.
Her voice can't decline when she's singing the most difficult passages of her career with perfect precision (Love on Top)
Her voice isn't deteriorating when her transitions are cleaner than ever.
Her voice isn't slacking when she holds the mic a foot away from her voice when she belts and it can still be clearly heard.
Her crescendos have more depth now.
Her belts have more flexibility.
Her tone is maturing at a beautiful rate.
She even makes a simple A4 sound difficult because that's how powerful and resonant her voice has become.
When I heard those songs, I was like "so these SIA songs aren't good enough for the album? I don't think Im ready for what's in store"
And guess what? I wasn't ready for this slayage

all this vocal talk is like music to my ears (no pun intended)
