When TVR was released, I was a teenager. I looked at things very differently..and the album didn't connect to with me until some months after it's release. TVR has aged better than RN and it's considered Janet's "masterpiece"..and as some say that it's "overrated", but not in the fan community where it's a favorite.

I go back and forth on which album is the best. Since I lived thru both eras, RN easily was the commercial of the two. TVR was different and it let me know that Janet is not a one trick pony and she easily leaves her contemporaries right behind her.

And keep it cute on "Control"..it's a very important album with her best track "When I Think Of You" (Goddess).

How are you 35 years old and on ATRL?

That's one of the things that makes it better. DJ kinda gets in the mix. And most non-witnesses prefer Disc to DJ.

Janet and Control are definitely better eras than TVR, all things considered.

TVR and it's accompanying tour is Janet's the female pop star's absolute peak as a performer but that's the only department that it wins against the Control, Janet, and Rhythm Nation eras.

Oh I suppose TVR also has the best album tracks of any Janet album too.

The Velvet Rope was a bigger era than Control when you factor in everything. The fact she went on a highly successful acclaimed global tour puts it over Control (Which had no tour)
