I understand that the changes were made and will remain changed, but I'm not sure I like the "what we say goes "mindset of the mods. Like, can we at least make some minor compromises? I have the utmost respect for you guys, but it seems to me that the community is not being heard.
Yes, the blogs were messy and they did need a clean out, but people still enjoy using it. I want to hear a complete announcement, thoroughly explaining the entire reasoning behind these decisions. No lies, no censoring specific reasons and no half-answers. If it was for advertisement/monetary reasons, so be it. But I do not like this secretive clique the mods seem to have. There is some shady stuff going on, because the servers are continuing to crash even after numerous + purchases and promises of a new server coming.
Where is the money going? Literal receipts need to be shown. The new server needs proof that it has been purchased, and we need UPDATES on the progress being made. I feel much of the uprising that's taking place in this thread is due to the fact that it came out of the blue, and the lagging server. If there was better communication between the community and the mods, then there would not be such an uproar. It's a game of give or take, and all that's happening is take. At least give us SOMETHING good.

The money is either in an account/conglomerated money pile of some sort and set aside for the purchase of new software, or in the pockets of those who license the software (to the best of my knowledge). The software updates are close, and Athens said in this very thread that later this week, a thread regarding server issues will be posted. Be patient for a few more days - after so long, a few more days should not be a difficult wait for information.

Wait...y'all were pretty sure vB5 had already been purchased at the beginning of this thread.
I'm really questioning where the money is going. I'm not complaining about how much I spent because $30 is nothing but we've been promised a new server, etc for almost a year.
