I don't see why they feel the need to **** with the blogs it's clearly against the wishes of ATRL users.

So are the mods really all dictatorial prudes, or is someone ordering them to clean up the site so they can rake in more revenue from ads?

1) The usage of the site is a privilege, not a right, and what the site owner says is how it goes. What the users say is taken into account, but some things will not be changed just because the users want them to be changed.

2) Yeah, we'd kind of like to remain financially stable to keep operating - that's probably a good thing, no?

I'm confused, because it doesn't look like he made any special coding to evade the censor and it's still there.

How DARE you, some people pay for this "privilege"

No one pays to view or post on ATRL. We have a donation system that helps us cover the cost of future upgrades and repairs, but other than that, most of the operating costs are covered by ads and Joe's wallet.

Nobody pays for the site, they pay for extra features of the site. It's still a privilege. They elect to pay by their own choice - nobody is forcing them. We absolutely thank all those who subscribe to ATRL+ and we're not going to belittle their contribution, but there are some things that will be changed regardless of what members think if the admins deem it necessary, and the admins have the full support of the moderators - a team of members who want to work to make ATRL the best it can be - in their current decisions.

Ugh. Please don't start this stuff again. Let it go.

Just to let you know, let me show you a nice example. Suppose ATRL will be shut down. It doesn't matter if 99.9% are against ATRL being completely shut down. If Joe says it is going to be shut down, it WILL be shut down.

In conclusion, people are free to show their opinions and are free to give advice, but admins are the ones who take the last decision. It was like that, it is like that, and it is going to be like that.
