Of course they exist, but if this thread is an indication if you count the few post that support it versus the post that don't, you can get a good peak at what is the majority. Its democracy, and I feel like there could have been a better solution to this.

I understand the racial issues that were in blogs, but some things like the sexual content should have been done a better way, you mods talked about the community, but there seems to be no effort to get a community decision done here.

The policy change was inevitable. I don't get why people are complaining about it so much.

Advertisers do not value over graphic sites since they do not want to be associated with it. Several forums I post on have gone through similar transitions. (Not sure if that is the reason, but I think it probably is.)

Still was hoping that it would be a server upgrade announcement....

I just don't understand the point of censoring EVERYTHING. I mean I understand a lot of it. I am here for it. I do think that the mods do a (mostly) great job at doing their jobs. Honestly a lot of the culture of pop music is dragging, shading, and doing the most. You can't just confine that into one thread as SYG. I think you need to be a LOT more lenient about it. I know it won't happen, but as long as it is not like SERIOUS then I think you guys should look the other way.

With the blogs... it was a safe haven. A place where we COULD do that. Some people can't handle SYG so they don't go in there. If you can't handle the blogs then don't go in there either. It's just a place where people can do whatever they want. No one really knows the blogs unless you go in there. You're acting as if we're burning the blacks at the stake and having orgies. The only truly p0rnagraphic part of the blogs was the Dirty Talk thread. Everyone knew it and should just not be in there if they had brains. This is just alienating more people.

We knew it wasn't going to go over well with every member going into the announcement and we discussed all sides of the issue. The mods and admins decided this direction is the one we want to go with for the future of the site. Not everyone is going to like the change and we understand that.

Because it's decided. An ultimatum was reached by the site owners already; it is our job to explain the reasoning behind this and why we supported this policy change (because the support of a significant number of us was required and a lot of discussion did occur). It simply will not be changed, even if members keep complaining. And I don't mean that in a "what we say goes, our word is law, deal with it" sort of way, I just mean that most moderators did support these changes and discuss them in depth, and we see them as necessary.
