And I agree with what DreamOn said. PRISM shows more of the human being Katy instead of the artist Katy. And the bonus tracks definitelly have best lyrics
One of the Boys is her best work lyrically, imo.

I think it might have something to do with time, Katy spent a long time with the songs from One of the Boys. Most of PRISM was done in a few months.

Yeah, time definitaly influences on the lyrics. And I think the changing of direction of the album influenced that too. She went from a more depressed, acoustic oriented sound like Choose Your Battles and By The Grace of God to a happy, pop oriented sound like This is How We Do and Walking on Air.

But then, it was her choice to release the album now haha Capitol was set to release start the album cycle in Feb/2014
