He should have talked about Kelly or Leona as well when observing outstanding vocalists. Leona is one of the very few singers to have a four octave range and her vocals are better than Beyoncé's imo.
Not with her non-existent lower register and slow-ass vibrato.
Some of you sound so stupid. "Beyonce had to work really hard to get where she is today vocally. Christina is a natural talent".
That makes no sense.
#1- If training gives a singer virtuosic ability, then ANYONE could become a great vocalist, even with minimal talent. That is not the case. A considerable amount of talent has to be there for the voice and singing to grow and develop to such a high level. If you are not a gifted athlete, no amount of training will make you top-tier. Beyonce's a virtuoso vocalist. So there goes that.
#2- Tone=/= ability. No matter how beautiful you find a person's tone, that is in no way indicative of the full scope of talent they hold (or could potentially hold). Vocal training would make Christina Aguilera better than she is now, not better than Beyonce, especially seeing as how they're both of similar vocal size, except Beyonce's voice is far more agile.
#3- Christina has been trained. She just lacks/lacked the intelligence to properly apply what she learned. So she can't be a more "naturally" gifted singer if the intelligence isn't there.
#4- Trained talent IS NATURAL talent. It's not unnatural, supernatural or artificial. It's not a separate kind of talent. It means the talent has been honed and developed.

Exactly what I meant. They kill me with this "if she was trained she would have been better" ********, not she wouldn't have simply because she has no ear or vocal intelligence as you to call it. They can keep reharsing that excuse for Beyoncé's talent for years and years, it still won't make it the truth.
Where did I say having a great tone makes someone a great vocalist? And also, I never said Beyonce's dedication and hard work aren't good. But you are comparing an all-time trained vocalist to a never-trained one. Maybe you should re-read my post cause you didn't get a thing.
This is the dumbest thing ever. A professional recording artist who was covered Whit on her 1st album a never-trained vocalist? I understand where the delusion comes from.

She had vocal training, she is not worse because she never had one. She is bad now because she doesn't use the good technique and can't understand the limitations of her voice.
And I didn't she can't improve but better than Bey? Hell no.

And at the end of the day, that's what it's all about. Only you Bey, Kelly, and Stink stans use that technique BS. Honey, the GP could care about a technique. All they care about is if you can sing or not. And, the GP will tell you Xtina can SANNNNNNNNNNNNNG!
Every singer has flaws and does something that some people won't like. I hate that Mariah whistle all the damn time. I hate that Whitney use to talk and stretch out the length of her songs. I hate that Kelly sounds the same in all her songs. Blah blah blah! I too hate the fact Xtina thinks you need a run or shout for every song. But, don't sit up here and try and deny one of the GREATEST singers EVER, just because technique. The majority of you in here claiming to know about singing technique is just repeating things you read on forums.
That's the problem with this newer generation and why no one as of recent has come out to amaze us with a new, unique voice because you so worried about "technique." Where is the "it" factor? That quality that makes us all go, "WOW?!" I don't care if Beyonce has "mastered" her craft because she's still a boring singer to me. She's "mastered" it so much that she left no room to let loose and emote. Xtina, like many legends before her has said, is THE VOICE OF OUR GENERATION. Celine Dion didn't pick her for nothing.
AND I THANK YOU...
Kii whatever helps you sleep at night friend
When her voice is gone because of all the vocal deterioration
you guys have no one but her and yourselves to blame
Just remember that.
And it's blasé don't-give-a-fuq "I just wanna twerk and fist pump to a generic pop beat, no matter how vapid the song is" attitudes like yours that is the reason why music is dying. Don't care about integrity...don't try to impress... Of course not. Why bother to practice, train, rehearse, or put for an effort to make a good product when you can just act a fool on Twitter and Instagram? That's what I want from a pop star. Someone who I could sing better than, but is better than me at online snapshots.
Yeah...
You and Jesus are both right. A singer must sing like it is his/her last day on Earth everytime imo. But what's the point of having the perfect technique and vocal range if your material is just not good?
Everything he said about Rihanna is accurate. The reason why she and Bey will never be on the same level is purely Rihanna's fault. She's lazy and knows that she can get buy doing the bare minimum which is disappointing to her fans cause you rarely get to see her reach her full potential and when she does its few and far between. Beyonce has the most improved voice cause she works on her craft. Had Rihanna really taken the time to hone her voice she could truly be something special cause like I've said time and time again. The foundation is there.
You really think Xtina isn't skilled? She may be all over the place sometimes but to say she doesn't have a powerhouse voice is a big stretch. Who are the best of the generation, if Xtina isn't a part of that group?
Her voice isn't powerful it's loud. Anyone can be loud, all you have to do is scream, which is exactly what X-Tina does. Literally.

Oh gerl.
Why are y'all getting so butt hurt over my statement? I didn't say Beyoncé didn't have natural talent. She obviously could sing but what IM saying is that to be the prime vocalist that she is today, she had to take a lot of voice lessons to get where she is.. Aint nothing wrong with that. Too see her vocal growth from "No No No" to "Love On Top" is amazing.
In Xtina's case, she had all of the talents from the jump. She had the power. She had the range. She had the tone. With years of improper teqnique really hindered her voice, if she would have let her ego down and take vocal lessons, her voice would really be ranked up there with the greats such as Whitney and Mariah, because she had all the qualities from the gate.
