Her team/label thought that she might be able to pull a FF off and realized that this was the last time they could get away with it (barely).
They are giving her more control because her vision for FF was more in line with what she's doing now but they wanted to credit her for dubstep and not the 90s throwback.
I understand because looking back dubstep was obviously more powerful and the 90s throwback came and went.
THey know that she needs to show the GP what we already are exposed to in order to be taken serious as an artist. We already have songs like I run away, when i found you, shadow, state of grace etc but her teens and 20s are known more for her dances.
her 30s will be more known for a balanced mixed of classic dance tunes that are innovative and original and thought provoking and personal ballads/mid tempos that are a key into Britney's soul.
She will end this era after her 10th album with at least one more grammy and will be an overall well rounded respected artists. She just has to put the work in.
It already looks like that's happening.
