Katy's album is being talked (in her label) for atleast 2 months now ofc they plan everything like the Album release date, but If you really believe that their decision for the Lead single isn't affected by Gaga's release you're crazy ! Ofc they knew that Katy will release her single August but they didn't rushed announcing a date exactly because of Gaga ... No one is saying that they suddenly decided that Katy's new era will start August and etc...
