Taylor Swift selling the exact same amount of copies as 2013 in 1999 is a ridiculous claim. ANYONE no matter what genre would likely sell more in 1999. Then there are all the receipts I've showed of how country acts have done well (much better than today.. example the second album of Leann Rimes, a pretty comparable artist to Taylor as far as image and demographic, went 6x platinum in the US alone).

Of course she may not have matched Britney's sales. That's not the point though.
