Well, teh sells climate is vastly different to 1999/00.
It's still remarkble feats to sell upwards of 5m+ each era on albums & singles, including record-breaking tours.
If it were so different, why have other pop girls who released in her time failed to sell even half of her total sales All of them even trail Taylor Swift
Taylor isn't a pop act at all. Plus, Swift isn't known worldwide, if you come to my country and ask who Britney Spears is, they will tell you at least one of so many thing she has done, from performances, songs or controversy. If you ask who Taylor Swift is, they wouldn't know. Also, Taylor Swift hasn't sold 45 million albums with her first two albums, not even her overall sales.
She lost that status like a decade ago. That title belongs to Taylor Swift now. I did state this in an earlier thread over a year ago.
