But come on, do you honestly believe Britney herself tweeted about the Miley song? I mean, considering Larry/Adam are now Miley's managers... REALLY?

Britney just needs to sell over 500k first week. I mean its amazing she did that after a bad era, with a mass public backlash. She can do it if she did the same promo like then.

Yeah, 500K is a bit steep in today's market. I mean, it's possible, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves. I'd aim somewhere within the 350K-400K range.

But it's a quarter 4 release. How can it not sell that many with the right strings pulled? Even if it doesn't 400k is attainable too.

500k seems rather high for an album that has really 0 hype, and regarding Beyonce I really dont think she is going to release something this year same with Gaga maybe Katy and obviously Rihanna will realese.

The right strings might not be pulled. IF she gets that Target deal, then chances are higher because albums with Target deals always do well. If she doesn't, she'll need to rely more on either ACTUAL promotion or, what I believe is more effective, an internet promotional campaign on Spotify/YT. For many artists, they post something promoting their latest release on ALL their videos on an official channel [See: Kylie Minogue for 'Aphrodite'], ads promoting the album on YT and Spotify [it can be a banner or, in the case of Spotify, an ACTUAL audio commercial that plays one of the songs]. And if she gets the Target deal, I expect televised commercial as well.
But she doesn't actually need to perform and that's what I mean.

I just can't at you all even thinking she will release her album up with a big release. Gaga and Beyonce don't do that. Most artist don't release their albums around the big artist due to competition.
Britney will debut at #1 as usual for only a week. Her team has a record to extend. They wont mess that up.

It's a reflection of them, though. I think some people are obsessed with Britney and hate how much they love her so they just shade her unnecessarily. THey don't even try to use intelligence. I can respect a clever shade but it usually doesn't exist.

The 8th album can only sell over 500k first week IF the lead single is a big hit.
If it isn't, even with GOOD promo and during the 4th quarter, we're gonna get something in the 400k area, which I'm pretty fine with, TBH.

FF was predicted to sell 300k+ before the mess that was GMA and all other promo performances  She's a big first week seller and a 4th quarter will also stabilize the sales a bit more until January whereas FF sales were too front-loaded.

Yeah if she can get almost 300k during that period in March 400k-500k depending on right promo is good.
I just want her to get 500k to extend her record. she's the only female in history to have 4 albums debut with 500k in the US. Let's go for 5.
I need this ooh la la track to do whatever in the summer and then she come out with a crazy amazing single in September/October in preparation for a Late November/December 2, 2013 album release date.
I want this album to sell at least 800k within the first month and that is achieve in 4th quarter.
