Mirrors longevity is already pretty impressive. I don't think a discount would send it plummeting like When I Was Your Man. WIWYM was on the decline when it was discounted (digitally), while Mirrors is still holding strong & more fresh. What labels execute poorly with discounts is that they do it a week or two too late usually. His label should do the discount now or never.

The album doesn't need one, but can you imagine the huge sales boost? He should definitely discount Part 1 when the first single of Part 2 is released AND when the Part 2 album is released. The double domination would be amazing.
He'll probably want to start Part 2 with a bang to make people realize it's more than just leftovers, so I think he'll give the 1st single his all. So it could definitely hit #1, especially with a video ready to go on release week. He/his label are very market savvy so they will adjust to the new rules which were not in place when S&T first debuted.
Mirrors will be the final radio single from 20/20. Mirrors is gonna go all the way till at least late July. Then new single in August probably. There might be some space to release a Pusher Love Girl video.
