Yeah that's true. It doesn't just happen. Imo it's kind of like Beyonce's Sasha Fierce era where she was gone but still there. She still released stuff even though she never actively pursued it. Me and Clash were talking about it just now, but really this is a cheap break. it's not even a real break, she's been in the media for most of 2012 anyway because of all of the things that she does. She's a high profile artist, they're not just going to pan the cameras away and come back "next season".
I'm glad she hasn't been on the radio in a long while as well. There was an article by billboard that claimed that she was far too overexposed and had songs in which were still being played while the new singles were out (interscope's fault really). This should allow her to really be played the amount she should be on the radio now that she has nothing really playing there.
Maybe the word "miss" is wrong, but the fact that they wonder where the artist is, says something. And when news arises, people will begin to become interested and anticipate her new music. Some of you guys just need to give it time.
