I was actually just thinking that I'm surprised no one accused the Rolling Stones of shading Gaga by having her sing Gimme Shelter as it includes the lyrics "If I don't get some shelter, Lord, I'm gonna fade away" and they gave her shelter/exposure in a time that she doesn't have any music out. Some Monsters or other stanbases would be delusional enough

Also, it's true that the general public don't really MISS her, but they do wonder what happened to her music from time to time. I have a straight friend that has never cared at all for Gaga and even him asked me on new years what had happened to Gaga because he hadn't heard anything new in a while.

Mostly everyone that follows pop music, whether they're gaga fans or not, know that she hasnt released anything in a while. Even her haters. Not to mention all of the casual listeners that like her but don't really follow her. "Missing" her is a strong word, but people do wonder about her.

I had a friend ask me yesterday what was going on with Gaga because she hadn't heard about her in awhile Maybe the word "miss" is wrong, but the fact that they wonder where the artist is, says something.
